HIGHLIGHTS

About 2000 visitors were in Olcott on a chilly, but sunny late winter day to enjoy the 48th Olcott Polar Bear Swim for Sight. Almost 400 swimmers braved the frigid Lake Ontario waters at Krull Park beach after donating funds they collected for this popular long-running event. Sponsored by the Olcott Lions Club, the Polar Bear Swim raises money for Lions vision and sight programs and helps several local charitable organizations such as Hospice and the Rainbow of Help.

Helen Pavlock of Youngstown was selected the 2017 Polar Bear Queen - on her birthday!

Tug-Of-War Winner - Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Company beating Olcott Fire! Both companies will be receiving a framed certificate, and an anonymous supporter is having a traveling trophy created for this event which will travel to the winning Fire Company each year.
